PRIVACY NOTICE

Garry Needham Driving Tuition is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. I strictly adhere to the requirements of data protection legislation in the UK. The purpose of this statement is to explain to you what personal information I collect and how I may use it.

When you contact me to make an enquiry I will ask you for your name, address, age, telephone contact numbers, email address and a brief history of your driving experience/training.  I am collecting this information from you to help me manage your enquiry.

If you decide to proceed with tuition I will ask you to provide the last 8 digits of your driving licence number along with a DVLA licence check code to enable me to check that your driving licence is valid.  I will also keep a record of your driving licence number.

I use your details for managing my relationship with you and managing my operations.

I maintain a record of the training you have completed and a driving assessment.

I  make use of an in-car camera for insurance purposes.  This records the road ahead and behind and does not record pupil images or voice.  This is deleted at regular intervals unless it is necessary to retain it for insurance purposes in the event of an accident/incident.

I may use your name and photograph and reviews you provide within my website advertising or on my social media pages to promote the school but only with your consent.

I do not share your personal information with third parties and I do not use it for direct marketing purposes.  I will only contact you for the purpose of arranging and managing your tuition.

I follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given me, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the UK data protection legislation. I do not collect sensitive information about you except when you specifically knowingly provide it. In order to maintain the accuracy of my records you can check, update or remove your personal details by emailing info@garryneedham.co.uk 

If you want to see the data I hold on you and how it is being used please make the request  in writing.  The information will be provided free of charge and within one month.

I will retain your personal information for as long as I have reasonable business needs, such as managing my relationship with you and managing my operations.

I use Google Analytics as part of a normal business procedure to keep an anonymous record of how my website is used so that I can improve the content and navigation of the website.  It may use a set of cookies to collect information and report website usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors. You can adjust your cookie permissions in the settings of your browser. Google's privacy policy can be viewed at their home page.

I provide a link within my website to training materials provided by a third party (SmartDriving). These links are provided for your information only.  I have no control over the contents of their site or resources and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. I will not transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) without first obtaining your consent.

      The right to be informed about the data I am collecting and how I will use it.

      The right of access - you can ask to see the data I hold on you.

      The right to rectification - you can ask that I update or correct your data.

      The right to object - you can ask that I stop using your data for a particular purpose.

      The right to erasure - you can ask me to delete the data I hold on you.

      The right to restrict processing - you can ask that I temporarily stop using your data while the reason for its use or accuracy are investigated.

      Although this is not applicable to the data I hold and process on you, you also have rights related to portability and automated decision making (including profiling).
